Children's Ministry
Nursery - 5th Grade
Our Kids Church meets during both services for ages 0 - 5th grade (K-5th grade join us in the Worship Center during the summer months beginning June 5). We have created a safe environment for kids to connect with each other as well as adults with the goal of helping them begin a relationship with Jesus. Our staff and volunteers have had background clearances prior to serving in our children's ministry.
Sunday mornings we use Discovery Land curriculum that guides children through Biblical exploration. Each morning begins with worship and Bible Discovery, and ends with a life application of the lessons learned.
The word AWANA stands for Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed, and comes from 2 Timothy 2:15. Since 1950, AWANA has grown from a one-church program into a ministry that includes more than 12,000 churches in the United States and another 13,000 in more than 109 countries worldwide. Local churches reach hundreds of thousands of young people every week by using the AWANA ministry. The goal of AWANA is to reach boys and girls with the gospel of Christ and to train them to serve Him.
Join us for a year of diving deep into God's Word through worship, Biblical study and scripture memorization, as well as a year of relationship building and fun with games and weekly incentives!
Please note: This year we are changing the time of our program to end each night at 7:30pm.

Meet our Children's Director, Alison Bahre.
I began my college experience in elementary education, but the Lord had other plans! After a lot of prayer and discernment, I felt like God was calling me to pursue full-time ministry, so I changed my major. I graduated from Huntington University in 2021 with degrees in Missions and Children's Ministry, along with Bible and TESOL minors. During my time there, I developed a huge heart for the global Church, discipleship, and for the next generation of believers (aka, children!). Right after graduation, I began working as a Children's Ministry Assistant at Emmanuel Community Church in Fort Wayne, IN. Over the year and a half I was there, my passion for children's ministry only grew. I gained valuable insight into the administrative side of ministry, along with teaching, leading events like VBS, and building relationships with children, families, and volunteers.
