The Study of the Book of Daniel
Unlike most of the other books in the Hebrew Bible, the book of Daniel is not set in Israel. Instead, it’s in the heart of a hostile, pagan empire where God’s people have been taken captive. Daniel is about how to thrive in a dark world. Men facing the cultural challenges of today will connect to the ancient wisdom of this Old Testament book and learn that the power to make a difference is found in the commitment to be different.

Galatians
If someone asked you to explain the gospel, what would you say? What is the good news of the Christian faith? Writing to the Galatians, Paul made it clear how easily we can be tempted to turn toward fraudulent gospels, especially those that teach we can earn God’s love through our works. Though they may have the appearance of truth, they are lifeless and, in the end, leave us empty. In this Book of the Bible series, Kyle shows that true freedom is found in surrender, not self-dependence. Because our gospel is not one based on our works, but faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ.

Eatin' Alive
When Peter was called to the home of the Gentile, Cornelius, he told him the Gospel of Jesus and included this interesting phrase: “He (Jesus) was not seen by all the people, but by witnesses whom God had already chosen—by us who ate and drank with him after he rose from the dead.” Why was it important for Peter to mention eating and drinking with Jesus? Likely, it was to testify to Jesus’ bodily resurrection-that he was truly alive! In this group, we will do the same, sharing how God is moving while enjoying great food, bearing witness to the fact that Jesus is alive in our daily lives.
